    当年，意大利传教士利玛窦把油画带到中国的时候，他有没有想到这个源于西方的画种是否会落地生根，亦或是水土不服。

    中国油画走过的路，曲直自不必说。我们也许不应该仅仅埋怨历史。一个有着使命感且精神深处充满自信的艺术家决不应该是一个踯躅不前的怯懦者。更不会如变色龙般因为一场运动或某种所谓的艺术潮流而市侩般地改头换面。

    自信，简单的两个字，真正找到它何其艰难。自，自我。信，信念也。时至今日，所谓的“艺术盛世”，一种艺术形式的出现会引来众多“山寨”版。至于是否有感而发，契合于自己灵魂深处的探究，在利益面前早已不再重要。而真正的自信者虽是廖若晨星，但灿炫天空。

    生于斯、长于斯的我们，传统的思想和审美意趣的浸淫是挥之不去的。即使对于一石一木的理解，东西方也是不尽相同。那生活在这个社会中的个体呢，因境遇的不同更应该是千人千面。只有将艺术的表现形式嫁接于“真我”之上任其生发，才可能开得了花、结得了果 。

    我是一个沉静的人，在热闹的场合，我会感到莫名的孤寂和彷徨。我不认为这是缺点，这就是我真实的生命状态。相反，我非常享受这样的自我状态。在这样的状态中，我可以用全部真实的情感来赋予画面，来给它我的生命。

我喜欢这样的心无旁鹜，更喜欢不用语言就可表达的心绪，还有那万籁俱寂、缀满繁星的夜空。

When the Italian missionary Mateo Ricci introduced oil painting into China, did it ever come to his mind whether this west-originated painting would spread in China, or would be unaccustomed to Chinese climate?

     There is no need to tell all the rights and wrongs during the history of oil paining in China. Maybe we should not just blame on the past. An artist with a sense of mission and confidence in the deep heart shall neither be a hesitant coward, nor a changeable chameleon , who will sway from side to side beause of a movement or some so-called artictic trend.

     Self-confidence, what a simple word, while how hard it could be to realize it. By self, we mean ego, and confidence means faith. Nowadays, in this so called art heyday, the emergence of one artistic form will draw down numerous cheap copies.Nobody cares whether these works come out of one's true feeling or accord with deep spiritual exploration, when interest is taken for priority. Nevertheless, those who really believe in themselves, though as rare as morning stars, are shining in the sky. 

It is hard for us, whom were born and grown up under such circumstance, to run away from the influence of traditional way of thinking and sense of beauty. Even if looking at the same rock and tree, the comprehension of eastern and western people will be totally different. Therefore, all the individuals living in this society should be varied by their different life experience. The only access to reach the success in art is to create it with your “true color”.

    I am such a tranquil man, that for no reason, I feel lonely and confused around noisy place. I consider it as a reflection of my real life state rather than a disadvantage, and in opposite, I quite enjoy it. Under this condition, I give all my true affection to my painting, and bestow them my soul.

    I love to devote myself to art, and what is even better than that, is to express my thoughts without words, and moreover, the silent and starry night sky.
