行走中叩问生命的意义和追寻中国画的新路向
    ——“行走的时空——冯斌个展”

构筑坚固的藏式庙宇纵深致远、倏然而行的喇嘛红影行过其间——动与静、虚与实，晃动与坚硬、主体与客体，一同营造出冯斌作品中“行走的时空”。时空因行走而变得美妙，行走的姿态暗含了批判与反拨的决绝坚持，隐藏着一种追慕与寻觅的美学诉求。
艺术家的西藏题材绘画通过庄严超尘建筑的浓重形态、匆如过客人们的模糊存在之间，尽华尽实与尽虚尽幻的比对，实施着对于人的精神与物质的存在的的思辨与审视；提示了都市化生存的当代人处在一个充斥着喧嚣、浮华的物化环境，行色匆匆而精神浮躁，生命却又在毫无遐想的缝隙间如此的梭然而过，人们逐渐丧失的不只是考量生活内在意义的生存状态，还有对于生命本质的叩问。而冯斌新作《舞》系列对于都市场景的个体描述，以相拥相依、亦幻亦真的人物的影像化呈现方式娓娓道来；都市元素经由精炼和转化，传达出当代人的生活态度与生存情状，并给予中国画载体本身以新的文化属性与表达方式。
2010年3月6日，“行走的时空——冯斌个展”在北京798的山艺术•北京林正艺术空间拉开帷幕。该展带来的30余幅画作记载着冯斌十余年来所进行的利用传统资源、开创中国画新行进的探寻之路。它们是艺术家对于当代文化议题作出严肃思考的凝结之作，也是艺术家超越国画的程式问题继而实现中国画当代性对话的证明。
“与当代对话”毋庸置疑地应与当下有关，实验性、批判性、探索性、现实性就是当代艺术挥之不去的基本属性。中国画在当代艺术界域面临着行进中的新十字路口，它在给予艺术家们更多选择的同时，也暗暗考验着他们的艺术批判立场——继承与创新、守旧与突破、徘徊与跃进即刻成为中国画创作镜像的关键词。
作为对传统国画有着扎实基础的艺术家，冯斌并不窠臼于传统绘画既定程式的表面完满，而是以艺术语言的当代批判性为要旨，分别以“材料”、“观念”、“更新”为介入点，对中国画的材料进行新的可能性实验，对新的视觉经验进行求取。一直以来，他试图创造一种更具当代性的中国画，不断地在“行走的时空”中追求中国画的新路向。展览展出的西藏题材绘画和《舞》系列作品直面当今多元的新文化语境，不变的东方文化的美学追求和契入当代的精神诉求使其保持着当代文化参与者的“在场”姿态——把人文的视野，扩展到现代化逼迫下对人的生存环境和心理状态的观照上。
“行走的时空”展所呈现和探索的中国画当代性问题，为我们提供了重新思考中国画创作的多种维度，并提醒人们当代艺术家在守望精神境界与创造经典价值的同时，应当在行进的姿态中始终怀揣艺术那一份应有的批判立场和当代视角。展览持续至4月4日。

In 1991, Feng Bin was invited to Amsterdam School of Fine Arts in Holland as visiting teacher, giving courses on Chinese Calligraphy and Painting. In 1995, he was invited to the same school as visiting artist. In 2002, he was invited to give a one-month course to the postgraduates of Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China.

His works were collected by China National Art Museum, Armenia National Art Museum, Armenia Cultural Foundation, Amsterdam School of Fine Arts, Taiwan Mountain Art Museum, the British Museum, Shanghai Art Museum, Macdonald Stewart Art Center, Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum and Guangdong Art Museum.

The academic activities he organized and curated or co-curated include: At the Century--Chinese Art from 1979-1999 in 1999; Chongqing Chilis American Tour and touring exhibition in China in 2003 and 2006; the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Chengdu Biennale in 2001, 2005 and 2007, in which he was the curator of Emerging Artists for three sessions in row; Mixture and Vitality—2008 Beijing Show in 2008, and Young Faces of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute—Special Invitation from the 7th Shanghai Biennale in 2008.

冯斌 简历

冯斌，男，1962年12月出生于四川省成都市。
1981年毕业于四川美术学院附中。
1985年毕业于四川美术学院。
现为四川美术学院副教授。四川美术学院美术馆馆长，重庆市美术家协会副主席。

1991年受邀为荷兰阿姆斯特丹美术学院客座教师，执教中国书法和中国绘画。1995年再度受邀为荷兰阿姆斯特丹美术学院访问艺术家。2002年受邀在中央美术学院中国画系为研究生班授课一个月。

作品被中国美术馆、英国大英博物馆、加拿大迈克当•斯图尔特艺术中心、台湾山美术馆、成都现代艺术馆、上海美术馆、广东美术馆等收藏。

参加组织和策划的主要学术活动有：1999年“世纪之门：1979—1999中国当代艺术邀请展”、2003年、2006年“重庆辣椒（美国巡回展、国内展）”、2001年、2005年、2007年“第一、二、三届成都双年展”，并连续三届主持策展成都双年展“新人特展”，2008年“杂烩川美：2008北京SHOW”，2008年“第七届上海双年展特别邀请展：川美年轻态”。
