站台中国当代艺术机构将于6月在798项目空间推出周敏的个展《移物以观物》。

 

对于这个不重功名和财富，甚至不关心自己成功与否的艺术家，人们似乎还缺少一些了解。他虽出身工艺专业，却一直致力于探讨各种媒介的实验性，如绘画、影像以及不同材料等。无论这个社会有多浮躁，他仍持续保持平静的心态去面对，他惯于对社会普遍认知的表象采取遮蔽、覆盖等方式。经过长期的积淀，他的作品又有了新突破。

 

移物以观物是一种当代艺术的方法论，任何思想和经验都无法彻底证明它的可靠性。移去物是为了知道隐藏于事物表象之下的本质，为此，我们常常采用将事物的一些复杂表象移开排除的方式；与之相反，移来物，是将自己在现实生活中产生的内心视像投射到事物上，同时也对事物已有的表象进行消解。站台中国推出本次展览，旨在和大家共同探讨这种实验性。

Platform China Contemporary Art Institute is pleased to pleased to present Removing For Observation - Zhou Min’s solo exhibition in June.

People seems to know little about this artist who doesn’t pay attention to reputation and wealth, and even doesn’t care about himself is whether succesful or not. Although graduated from industrial art department, he has been committed to exploring the experimental nature of various of medias, such as painting, video and different materials. No matter how impetuous the society is, he continues to keep calm all the time. He used to treat the general aware perspective of the society as a manner of concealing and coving. After a long-term accumulation, Zhou Min has made new breakthroughs.

Removing For Observation is a kind of methodology and experimental method to contemporary art, any way of thinking and experience can not prove its reliability completely. To remove is to understand essence which hidden underneath. From this, we usually use the way of removing and getting rid of complicated image; On the contrary, moving back the substance is an image reflection on the object getting from the reality and daily routine, meanwhile to make deconstruction on the existed perspective. Platform China supports this exhibition to explore above-mentioned experimental nature with such all together.
